Nottingham Forest are close to appointing Vitor Pereira as the club’s new head coach to replace the outgoing Sean Dyche.
Dyche was sacked after Forest failed to beat bottom club Wolves at the City Ground, with the drab 0-0 draw signalling the end for the head coach.
Vitor Pereira is set for the Nottingham Forest job as Sean Dyche’s replacement. Are you happy with the appointment?

Pereira is the next man in line for the job, with his work at Wolves in his first season at Molineux attracting Evangelos Marinakis to his availability.
Now, it’s come to light that perhaps the reason for Pereira’s appointment is down to the similarity he possesses with Nuno Espirito Santo.

A report from The Athletic has made some claims from Pereira’s time at Wolves that had staff believing Espirito Santo was back at Molineux.
It’s claimed that when Pereira arrived in the West Midlands, many of the staff who worked with Espirito Santo believed they’d slipped back to the time when he was in charge.
Tactically, he boasts similar skills to Espirito Santo, and given that he led Forest to a seventh-place finish last season, that does bode well for the Reds for the rest of the season.
It’s believed that Pereira likes to foster togetherness inside a football club, and with several players growing disgruntled under Dyche, that also makes for good reading from a Forest point of view.
It will be music to the ears of the fan base that Pereira considers himself a bit of a tactician, and after Dyche, it’s imperative that things change in that sense.
The amount of money Nottingham Forest have paid out to managers
This is just ridiculous, should we have persisted with Dyche?
Pereira needs to hit the ground running
With a number of tough games left to play this season, Pereira absolutely needs a similar bounce to the one he got when taking the Wolves job.
Pereira can’t possibly do any worse than Dyche, however, with his tactics and approaches to games against the teams around the Reds in the table growing tired and dated.
Forest need points on the board quickly and with Liverpool, Brighton and Manchester City to come next, that certainly won’t be easy to do.
If Pereira can instil the same level of unity as he did at Wolves, however, Forest might just surprise a few between now and the end of the season.
