Data from fbref (minutes) and transfermarkt (games injured).

The first percentage is minutes played by total amount of minutes the team has played.

The second percentage is minutes played by the amount of minutes the player has been available for. (Minutes available is almost certainly wrong for every player, but it is what it is).

I am aware that Havertz, Merino and Hincapie plays in different positions game to game. I had to put them somewhere.

There's at least 17 games left in all competitions, PL-13 + EFL-1 + FA – 1 + CL-2. That's 1530 mins. There might be as many as 26, PL-13 + EFL-1 + FA-5, + CL-7. That's 2340 mins.

You can't demand more than 4000-4500 mins a season from a player, and if Zubi, Rice and Timber keeps playing 80 % they'll end up close to that 4500 min treshold when we do the quadrouple. So, I think we're looking ok.

Players not mentioned:

Nwaneri – 521 mins

Annous – 86 mins

Salmon – 23 mins

Bailey-Joseph – 14 mins

Ibrahim – 2 mins

  1. mad theres so much discourse around eze and he’s still played the most minutes in his preferred position in the squad

  2. I’m worried about the amount of minutes Rice and Zubimendi are playing, I have to say. I really hope to see Arteta trusting Nørgaard a bit more in the league, and I hope to see Ødegaard as an alternative to Zubimendi. It’s a blow that we don’t have Merino to deputise in the pivot.

  3. Rice and Timber having absolute monster seasons. Really hope the return of Kai and Odegaard take us to glory as well as a huge finish from Saka. Every sub is insane quality though, such a great team.

  4. This is the sort of squad management we were all calling for. Should *hopefully* mean less injuries during the run in.

This is really interesting, thanks for this.

Interesting that Gyokeres has only played 58% of our minutes, feels higher.

I guess this also shows that Gabriel and Saliba have been managed quite well.

Zubimendi and Rice as partnership is our absolute lynchpin this season.

  6. The obvious standouts are Rice, Zubi, and Timber.

Otherwise I think Arteta is doing a great job rotating while still maintaining a high level of team performance.
