Just two years ago, Casemiro was being mocked across the Premier League. Pundits questioned his legs, fans turned him into a meme, and it looked like Manchester United had signed a midfielder past his best.

Fast forward to now… and Casemiro is back to being world-class.

In this video, we break down Casemiro’s incredible renaissance under Michael Carrick, how he’s become Manchester United’s most important midfielder again, and why his defensive numbers this season are among the best in the entire league.

From dominant performances against teams like Fulham, to ranking near the top for tackles, interceptions, possession won, and even goals — Casemiro is proving that even at 35, he’s still a nightmare for Premier League attacks.

We also look at how Carrick’s new midfield structure has unlocked Casemiro, why Kobbie Mainoo’s rise is helping him, and how United look far less secure whenever Uncle Case isn’t on the pitch.

This isn’t just a comeback… it’s Casemiro’s final mission at Old Trafford.

  1. Casemiro was getting written off as finished… and now he looks like Manchester United’s most important player again. 🔥

At 35, he’s still winning duels, making tackles, scoring goals, and thriving under Michael Carrick’s new system.

So what do you think — is this the real Casemiro renaissance… or just a short-term run before the season ends?

  2. Casi is actually learning more the older he gets. I think he might actually do a u turn because he’s getting better an better who will stop before wining anything. It’s crazy behaviour especially if we go on to shake up the title challengers

  3. Man united should go for Anderson and tonali and let casemiro and ugarte leave, sell mount and go for yildiz, and then one centre back to cover injuries,we are going for the EPL title with that squad

  4. Casemiro's reaction when he was mocked reminds me of another ManUtd player in the same team who was mocked mercilessly in the press and by fans. Maguire, too, is now an integral part of the team.

  5. Casemiro came back from the summer break for this season in the best shape of his United career and it shows in his play. He's trim and fit and his game improved in kind. wish they'd change their minds and offer him the one year option in his contract and let him help teach the new wave of midfielders coming up thru the academy.

  6. If I may seriously ask, wat is da work of dis so called pundits apart 4rm jus talkin shit bout players who r doin better than they themselves have EVER ACHIEVED??
#jimmy Carragher and # Gary Neville??

  7. Messi was keen to have Casemiro join Barca when word was out that Case was losing his starting position at Madrid. And this was despite the fact that Casemiro has had many duels with Messi (which virtually in every case, Messi won – but of course). In the end, it didn't happen and if memory serves it was because Messi himself was having second thoughts about staying on in Barca.

There's no better measure of your quality than when Messi would personally put your name forward as an acquisition target for the club.
