Derby County have picked up two new injury worries with both Callum Elder and Dion Sanderson missing the home defeat to Ipswich Town.
Speaking after the game John Eustace revealed the left back missed out with knee trouble, while Sanderson is labouring with a calf strain.
Derry Murkin came in and did well just a few days after arriving from Utrecht, while Danny Batth partnered Matt Clarke against the Tractor Boys.
The Rams head coach will be assessing both today, in the knowledge that captain Lewis Travis will be suspended for the match with Swansea City on Saturday.
Meanwhile Murkin is in line for a second successive appearance with Elder’s run of eight starts in the last nine games ended.
“His knees were playing up today unfortunately,” Eustace said. “He couldn’t train yesterday and we have got to look after him.”
As for Sanderson, who has had a stop-start 2026, Eustace revealed: “He just tweaked his calf a little bit, it’s important we protect him. Hopefully he will be back for next week.”
If both aren’t ready to return Eustace could be without seven players against the Swans.
Carlton Morris was able to participate in parts of Thursday’s training session but he’s not expected to be fully available until later this month.
Max Johnston is still a couple of weeks away, with his own calf injury, Jacob Widell Zetterstrom has missed more time with a virus, while Sondre Langas is out for a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.
