Arsenal Women winger Vivienne Lia has become the third Gunners player to go on loan abroad this season after being recalled from a loan in the WSL2.
Cecily Wellesley-Smith and Maddy Earl joined Rosengard and Glasgow City respectively, and Lia will spend the 2026 Damallsvenskan season with Swedish giants Hammarby.
The 19-year-old was recalled from her loan with Nottingham Forest on deadline day having made just four starts in all competitions.
Hammarby finished second in the Damallsvenskan last season, and Arsenal right-back Smilla Holmberg joined the Gunners from Bajen in January. Kyra Cooney-Cross is also a former Hammarby player.
“I’m coming to a top club that I know I’ll develop a lot in and also get the opportunity to gain new experiences from both the league and life abroad,” Lia told Hammarby’s website.
“As soon as Hammarby came knocking on the door, I felt very excited to come here. I only had time to meet Smilla quickly, but of course I know Kyra and she has spoken very highly of her time at the club and the supporters.”
