Match Preview

Everton are on the road again this weekend, this time in London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage. Led by former Everton boss Marco Silva, Fulham are having an up and down season like most mid-table clubs with wins against the likes of Chelsea and Brighton with a thrilling last minute draw against Liverpool, mixed up with disappointing defeats to the likes of Leeds United.

For the Toffees, David Moyes enjoyed stealing a late point away at the Seagulls last weekend, but will be looking for a more coherent performance from his side this week. Having lined up four centrehalves across the back last weekend, it feels like nothing is past the Scotsman to try today. New signing Tyrique George is expected to make his debut, but it’ll probably be off the bench.

Jack Grealish is likely out for the season, though last week’s absentee Vitaliy Mykolenko is fit again and available for selection. This is the shortest the injured list for the Toffees has been for the whole season. For Silva, midfielder Saša Lukić is out with a hamstring injury and will avoid getting a customary booking against the Toffees. Oscar Bobb could make his Cottagers debut, and striker Rodrigo Muniz should be available again.

Last Meeting

The two sides had met at Hill Dickinson Stadium earlier this season with the home side prevailing 2-0, thanks to goals from unlikely sources Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane. The Blues last visit to the Cottage was a happy one in May too, Everton winning 3-1 with goals from Mykolenko, Keane again, and Beto.
