Arsenal’s joy was cut short as Manchester City came from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield.
The Gunners, who beat Sunderland 3-0 on Saturday, went nine points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side at the top of the Premier League table. That lead is back down to six now.
Mikel Arteta’s men remain the favourites to win the title, but a City loss at Anfield would’ve definitely calmed the nerves.
Despite the disappointment, Arsenal still have a good chance to go all the way in the title race. They could still win the league at the Etihad too.

Arsenal winning the Premier League title over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium would be an incredible achievement.
The aim since the start of the season has just been to become the champions, but many fans have dreamt of doing it at a rival club’s home ground.
That dream could become a reality this season, but the task has become much harder after City’s comeback win against Liverpool.
The two title rivals both play seven games in the Premier League from now until their meeting at the Etihad in April, and there will be just five fixtures left for each side after that.
For Arsenal to be crowned champions at the full-time whistle at City’s home ground, the gap between the two sides needs to be at least 16 points.

After Manchester City’s 2-1 win at Anfield, the two clubs are just six points apart.
That means the Sky Blues must drop at least seven more points than Arsenal between now and their game in April for Arteta’s men to be in a position to clinch the title.
For that to happen, the current leaders will likely have to be perfect in their next seven fixtures and hope that City slip up.
For example, if Arsenal win all seven games, City would need to lose at least two and draw one of their own matches for Arteta’s side to have the chance to lift the title at the Etihad. If the Gunners draw or lose any game in this run, City would have to do so too.
If the first scenario does happen and then Arsenal beat Manchester City at the Etihad, the North Londoners will be crowned as the champions at the home of their biggest title rivals.

Away grounds where Arsenal have already won the league title
In their history, Arsenal are no strangers to winning league titles at the home of their rivals.
The Gunners have won the league at White Hart Lane twice, and once each at Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford and Anfield.
They also lifted the title at Leicester City’s Filbert Street and Bolton Wanderers’ Burnden Park over 90 years ago.
If Arsenal get it done at the Etihad in April, they will have won the league title at the home of every single traditional top-six rival.
That achievement, should it happen, may never be beaten.
