Trossard’s positioning for that interception shows just how good a player he is – we don’t score without that movement, anticipating the clearance down the line to regain possession high up.

I also like the way Gyokeres tells Martinelli to go back post. Nice to see a little bit of confidence from the big man.

This is such a good goal. And I love how much power he gets on the finish even though he is out of balance.
I’ve been critical of his technique, but this is exactly what I hoped when we signed him. Strong, good positioning and a fierce shot. Not a finesse inside of the boot kind of thing. Just whack it with a vengeance at goal.
Love it

This is a example of how important elite ball striking is. It’s not the perfect finish but he hits it so hard it makes it so hard for the keeper

Low xG chance but a really classy finish great composure from Gyökeres.

I love having a striker who smacks the ball as hard as he can. He doesn’t score this chance unless he absolutely leathers it, and to do that while falling is even more impressive.

What does xGOT take into consideration? Is it only shot placement or does ball speed, spin, keeper placement, defender placement get calculated as well?

The movement from Kai, the pressing from Dec, the positioning from Trossard, the finish from Gyok. Cinema.

Gyok is certainly not the prettiest to watch but he does have some fantastic power behind his shots which, even if close to the keeper, makes it v difficult for them to save. We need him to keep trucking now – confidence is up so hoping for plenty more goals for the run in!

I’m amazed that Gyo generate so much power to score that despite being out of balance.

Loved the pass from Trossard as soon as he won it back. Too often in the past we are liable to just keeping possession and getting back to the horse shoe. A turnover is the perfect time to pounce on a disorganised team.

Can always rely on gyok to absolutely thundercunt it, all power and strength. Love it

I don’t really see the point of mentioning stats to try and spoon feed us how difficult a statistical model perceives said chance is.
I can see with my own eyes it’s a good finish.

The way Rice was defending that to force the sloppy pass looks like how my dog looks when she’s found a bee

Look at Rice, literally prancing like a horse in his press
