  1. At games I get the fans emotional angry but even that has to be within reason but days after the game finding specific players and being foul to them is like you have hunted for the player so it’s not an imperfection the games over stop the online abuse

  2. Footballers are soft fairys simple solution dont install ig,fb,snapchat and all the other bs i dont have any of that i keep myself to myself not botherd about that stuff ,no1 forces u too read or look on the internet ,footballers need to grow up jesus

  3. You can accept criticism from someone who’s been there and done it but every dickhead with a phone has an opinion now and the real journalists are being replaced by gobshites with more followers who get more views who’s biggest talent is pressing the record button on there phone

  4. Typical cooperate media response no accountability they know full well they throw young men sometimes boys under the bus constantly and unnecessarily for online reaction, clicks and therefore income. It’s disgusting and it’s imperative that players like VVD with a voice call it out. We can all see it. Criticism is part of the game, but not when weaponised in order to fulfil the pundit or outlets own agenda.

  5. This is very ironic because VVD has made a career out of blaming others for his own shortcomings and getting away with it. You only have to watch liverpool play for a few minutes to see that he blames his team mates whenever he does something wrong and now he is complaining about the media pointing out that he is at fault when he puts in a poor performance.

If he can't take it maybe he shouldnt have spent his career blaming everything on his teammates just so he could look like a better defender than he actually is.

  6. What do these fools fail to grasp? He pointed out all the caveats they're reporting—his main message was that ex-players bear responsibility, given their status in the game, especially regarding the level of criticism directed at young, aspiring players. He never said footballers can't be criticised.

  7. You know social media is a choice right? If I jump in a mosh pit, that's on me. I don't get to cry about the bruises after the fact. Not to mention the ability to private accounts, block individuals… Tools are available if you wish to curate what you see.

  8. Talksport have really dropped the ball with Shebhan. She is a massive hypocrite.

They had Natalie who was great, and now they’ve lowered the bar with Shebhan. I don’t even watch these shows anymore.

  9. her opinion of people on social media is wild 🤣 never had a life, moms basement … so she saying they dont really know what they are talking about

follows up with ive never played football … but is a football talkshow host UMM

  10. Yeah, but for example, besides sport. It could just be fake news, lies and a narrative is being set about someone that isnt true that has a negative effect on someones oppotunities

  11. 😂😂😂😂What a weak mentality from someone ya'll consider a PL 🐐, meanwhile this has been happening to Man United players for the longest time, Pogba had it for 5 seasons. VVD gets its it for a few months now it's a bad thing? 😂😂😂😂😂What clowns.
