God’s House Tower reopens with new exhibition this weekend

God’s House Tower (GHT) reopens this weekend following a month of TLC, marking the occasion  with a special opening weekend and the launch of a new exhibition, Embodied Knowledge: Traces of Our Making.

The exhibition is presented by Create + Connect and celebrates women’s creativity through work developed in clay, weaving and Madhubani painting workshops  held at God’s House Tower over the past six months. The project explores creativity as an  embodied, shared process shaped by collaboration, materials and place.

Embodied Knowledge: Traces of Our Making brings together outcomes from workshops led by  Moly Gupta (Madhubani Painting), Alice Hume (Introduction to Weaving) and Ren Wooldridge  (Exploring Clay), with documentation by Mihaela Ardei. The exhibition highlights both the material  results of making and the communities formed through shared creative experience.

Create + Connect is a project led by Ren Wooldridge, a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is grounded in ceramic sculpture and community-engaged work. Ren is a recipient of a space’ arts’ experimental bursary scheme, Pitch Your Project.

“We’re really excited to welcome everyone back to GHT. We thrive on creativity and people, and we can’t wait for our audiences to enjoy the refreshed space and discover what’s new  across the programme,” said Hannah Preston, Venue Manager at God’s House Tower.
