None of us knows what's being going on with Konate these past few months, and how that's affected his inconsistent performances. If he can play like he did in the Newcasle game consistently from now on, then we would be crazy not offer a new contract that will tempt him. We've just paid up to £60 million for a completely novice CB. If we have replace Konate with a battle-hardened, proven CB of high quality, how much will that cost? Well, it ain't less than £60 million plus high wages.. It makes absolutely no financial sense to say bye-Konate, we ain't paying you above £xxx. In fact, it would be financial malfeasance.
Word is, Jacquet was wanted by Madrid and they had been in touch with him. His answer was, not interested, and only wanted us in the end. Manky mank utd also tried to nick in with a last minute offer and he told them to 4uck off too. Chelski matched our fee & salary offer and he told them no as well. The draw of playing for us and alongside the Big Man was just too much for this young lad to turn down…..LOVE IT !!!

I feel for the lad with the loss of his Dad BUT I only want players at our club who WANT to play for us…..he doesn't seem to want to anymore. If he goes and likely Gomez will too, we will need another 2 CB's in the summer unless one of the 3 younger ones (not inc Jacquet) we signed in January turn out to be first team ready already. Their playing with his mind and he's a fool to let them. If they can screw Liverpool's starting CB whether or not they want him next season, having this float up again just when he's playing better, its really dirty. Konate should tell his agent to tell them to F off, and keep his wage demands, someone will match it.

It is a player's right to do whatever they can to maximize whatever they can get from their talent so if you begrudge a player running down his contract then you should be Grudge the teams for not always doing right by the players sometimes look at what happened to Harvey Elliott you think that's okay that Liverpool and Aston Villa are thinking that guy around no one says anything about that but when a player wants to use the leverage that he has all the sudden he's greedy maybe you should put yourself in their shoes for once stop being selfish assholes

He has been responsible for us losing enough games this season to keep us out of the top 4. To give him a compliment his best game this season was the last one against Newcastle.
