“city had access to anyone because of the brilliance of the club” well, that’s certainly one way to put it
Hard disagree. He worked hard, was reliable and his numbers are good but that doesn’t equate to him being an elite footballer. He was in a brilliant team that provided so many more chances for him than any other team would have. He was actually a pretty wasteful finisher, he just got such a huge number of chances that he still scored a good amount. Was decent at his strengths but overall a fairly one dimensional player who was fortunate to have that team around him.
headless chook is what i called him at liverpool, pace, movement but couldnt finish his dinner. Bad and weak shooting technique.
Sterling being called “the man”🤣
He was better at Liverpool than City
City fan here. He was immense for us BUT he missed so many opportunities and on occasions went missing and on occasions didn't team play. He was respected not loved. KDB, Kompany, Silva and Aguero all were elite and loved. He just didn't have that same aura.
Sterling missed so many more than he scored. His record is good because that City team created so many chances that even if he only scored 1 in 10 he was guaranteed a good goals return.
Andy cole is the most underrated PL of all time
Saying “I think the world has forgot” about “how good Sterling was” is atrocious.
Sterling was THE most overrated footballer I’ve ever seen. Absolute dross. Awful.
I haven't forgotten all the sitters he missed and misplaced/incorrect passes.
He was aight
😢 im actually guilty… wow… he was actually pretty decent wasnt he?
Sterling retired about ten years ago.
The guy was overrated, you could put in whatever winger in premier leauge that year and they would score more then him.
Sterling is a big name so no he's not underrated. Kevin Mirallas was underrated as he had a better PL games per goal than Nani, Willian, Lucas and Oscar and was playing for a much worse team.
He's suffering from the same thing that Owen has… because he's moved round so many big teams he doesn't have a single fan base that really loves him enough to be shouting about how good he was
Sorry, what did he do for England?..
Sterling is almost impossible to rate 🤷♂️on the ball he was not good! He'd drive you crazy with him hanging on to it for ages and eventually diving but he was absolutely incredible at being free for back post tap ins! He ready them like a striker
Definitely overpaid. Got 6 months of dough for not kicking a ball. Fact.
These guys have L take after L take its unreal
