EDIT: The site has now reopened and face-to-face appointments will continue as planned this afternoon.
Yesterday afternoon, it was announced that Highcliffe Medical Centre will be closed until further notice following an emergency issue at the site.
It was added that there will be no face-to-face appointments, only those over the phone.
A spokesperson for Highcliffe Medical Centre said: “The practice is closed until further notice.
“Due to an emergency issue, all GP appointments today will be over the phone only, and there will be no face to face appointments until further notice.
“We are contacting patients affected by this change to reschedule any in-person appointments.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”
