Exciting to see four new faces in Leicester shirts as they all arrived as we earlier told everyone on the night. Spot on this time with our predictions, based on good sources who had the same feeling.

Joe Aribo, Devine Mukasa, Jamaal Lascelles and Dujuan Richards will all be exciting to follow during their time with the club. We do hope the recruitment team have done their job properly and signed players they have a good feeling about, and again not missed is completely.

Goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland was not on any lists or talked about as a candidate for a new goalkeeper. He would have been the perfect short term addition. A rumour about an unlikely return for Mads Hermansen never happened.

Ørjan Nyland is currently on the bench at Sevilla, desperate for game action. He is a certainty as Norway number one, and a player with a previous career in England. His situation at Sevilla is far from perfect and playing time will be crucial in front of the World Cup. Back in the days, he was described as a “Brick Wall” in that that semi-final vs. Leicester in the EFL Cup being name man of the match. Nyland (35) has also played for Bournemouth, Reading and Norwich. He was earlier the first choice at Sevilla, so far played 58 league appearance for the La Liga club. Nyland are on a contract at Sevilla, running out this summer.

Jacub Stolarczyk has not been bad, but his errors and ball distribution is awful. He often stops and has no clear mind about who to pass or throw to. There are no start up’s prepared ever, something that is a total mismatch between the goalkeeper, his goalkeeper coach and the manager, not really having that prepared.

But again it is the goalkeeper who has to make his own decisions. This is a massive concern at the moment. We do know that Fran Vieites is a proper goalkeeper, showing his worth at Real Betis in Europa Conference League last season. Asmir Begovic is not one to trust as a first team choice, so a new face would have been prefered.

Anthony Patterson (25) was another option. He ended up going on loan to Millwall. Last season he was first choice for Sunderland when they got promoted from The EFL Championship. There are a number of great goalkeepers on the benches in Premier League as well as other target abroad.

At this time would have thought Fran Vieites had been preferred. He played eight games in the Europa Conference League for Real Betis, ending in the final of the tournament. In this game vs. Chelsea, Vieites (26) was not involved. To see him being just a third choice makes it difficult to understand why Leicester have signed him.

Andy King looks to have ruled himself out of the competition for the permanent job as manager at Leicester. This is according to Leicestershire Live and a story made today about potential candidates to fill the vacant position. We are following the progress on who will be the next manager at Leicester, strangely enough the favourite at this point is Andy King.

In the bookies lists to become the next Leicester City manager, Gus Poyet is one being mentioned. Poyet (58) has had a good period with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. But since winning The Double with this club, in December last year, he decided to step down from his post. He is available, and a good candidate.

Andy King will be in charge when Leicester take on Birmingham in their next Premier League game, that looks concrete and certain. But hopefully something new and exciting will happen soon, with a potential new permanent manager walking in the doors.

Lately we have seen Leicestershire Live moving more Leicester City articles to Premium. This is behind a pay wall. That is sad.
