Everton have had an offer for Harry Wilson turned down by Fulham who are hesitant to let him leave this winter.

“It is understood the Toffees made an approach for the 28-year-old last week, but it was turned down by the Cottagers,” reports Sami Mokbel of the BBC.

Even though the Welsh international is out of contract this summer and could leave for free, the London-based side are keen on holding on to him. Head coach Marco Silva also said there is “zero chance” of Wilson being sold in the January transfer window.

Instead, they are trying to extend his future at the club with attempted negotiations, even though talks are on hold because of transfer interest.

Wilson has made 173 appearances for Fulham, scoring 34 goals and registering 43 assists.

Wilson would be mad to leave Fulham now. Wait till the summer and get a bumper pay day.

I am a fan of his before the rapid goal improvement. Quick enough and a good balanced footballer.

Would fit in with Garner, Dewesbury-Hall type of player, rather than the agricultural signings of time gone by.

Can play across the midfield and out wide.

Bit gutted that this is a no go today and by the time the summer comes he’ll probably have better options, goals, assists and takes a decent free kick, he’d have been a great signing

Let’s just hope he’s rubbish in his next game.

Pity, would fit in our team no end…he’s a good player, takes a mean free kick like & would bring goals which we need so badly!

“Que Pena” as the Spanish say, ie, What a pity!

He’s a fine footballer and the type of player we should be bringing in. Roll on the summer.

Harry has a goal every five games and an assist every four games going by his record at Fulham, if Anjishnu is correct.

“Goal involvements” they call them nowadays, Dave.

If the story of wanting £230k a week is true, he can forget it.
