Arne Slot’s future has been called into question this season due to Liverpool’s rapid decline.
Jamie Carragher has expressed fears over Slot after the club dropped out of the Champions League places following a defeat to Bournemouth.
Liverpool then finally picked up their first Premier League win of the season in a meeting with Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Spaniard has obvious connections to Anfield and was approached by Liverpool when they were looking at potential successors for Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool calm amid Arne Slot rumours
There has been much noise from fans about moving Slot on this season as well, amid some poor results and performances.
But while questions will continue to be asked of the 47-year-old unless Liverpool put together a consistent run of form, the mood inside the club is said to be calm.
Speaking to Anfield Index, David Lynch shared what an insider has said to him about the feeling around the training ground amid all the rumours about Slot.
He said: “I had a conversation with someone last week, I think it was last Monday where they were kind of saying, like, it’s so much calmer at the training ground than you would think when you see all the kind of storm outside and all the talk about it. And he said that, you know, I don’t get the impression that there’s any keenness to dispatch with the manager.

Despite sections of the fanbase wanting a change, it appears Slot is safe for the time being.
However, Lynch added that it could change if there is a poor run of form.
He continued: “That’s not to say that might not happen come the summer, by the way, because look, if the next three, four months are bad, and the results and the performances are bad, they will definitely have a look at it.”
Liverpool began a tricky run of fixtures in style with a 4-1 win over Newcastle, but they now face a very tough test against Manchester City this coming Sunday.
After that tie, a clash with a Europe-chasing Sunderland is on the cards, and it will be interesting to see if this past Saturday’s result was a blip or the start of a revival under the Dutchman.
