For anyone who is unaware, or not particularly technically savvy, this is a complete scam. Do not give these people your money.
If you have questions about how this specific scam works, feel free to ask.
This was sent via an official email from the club, so I can understand why some supporters might assume it is legitimate.
That said, it is absolutely abhorrent that the club would attach its name to something like this, even by the Lewis family’s own standards.

I cannot believe they are still promoting this token bullshit. Burn your money if you’re thinking of buying these tokens. It’ll be quicker.
Isn’t this like the official crypto shit for the club? Or is this post like a “crypto’s a scam” type post.
This is gross. Pathetic from the club.
Could you elaborate? I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole anyway but keen to know exactly what you’ve experienced or uncovered.
wait, does “an exclusive manager’s appearance” mean we get to manage the team for a game? 🙂
Our club’s a disgrace regardless of this
Whats worse is on our official FAQ’s: **Will the cost of tokens always remain at $2 each or could the value of them go up or down depending on the crypto market?**
*the answer is YES*
the official answer..
“the cost of future tokens, including those that are purchased second-hand, may vary.”
Scummy behaviour.
Old news
For those interested, Fan Tokens is created by Chiliz, a blockchain company with their own coin CHZ.
Tottenham has a partnership with them and receives a revenue share. Is this a scam? Technically, no. There are real rewards that are given out. However it is very likely you will not receive any rewards and that SPURS coins value will go to 0 over time. Is this a company that Tottenham should be partnering with? Absolutely not, but many major clubs do it.
What better way to cap a stellar week of PR?!
I cringe every time this shit pops up in my feed, disgusting.
EDIT: crypto and gambling are both shit.
