Short translation:
Ajax is still looking for a new number 6, but after buy attempts for Sano and Resink fell through, they are only willing to loan a player.
With 13 matches to go tho, they aren't willing to loan a player for an extraordinary sum so with only 12 hours left in the window, its looking more and more likely there will be no new number 6 for the remainder of the season.
Carrizo is basically a done deal. Announcement expected in the next couple of hours.
I don't know how to feel for not getting a new number 6. On the one hand, only having 13 more matches doesn't justify a new player, but I really don't like our chances with the only decent option being Regeer…

Bro, Feyenoord is getting worse every week. We have one real competitor for the second place and that’s NEC. These 13 matches will be the difference between CL football or not. Not signing an experienced 6 will mean finishing 4th, maybe 5th. We cannot even keep it together against Excelsior ffs.
They have known we need this player for over a year. This is just a huge fail all around tbh.
I think it makes sense, we shouldn’t go for option 7 or 8 just to get any holding midfielder. We’ve got enough deadwood as is.
