Liverpool ended the 2026 winter transfer window by confirming a deal for Jeremy Jacquet.
The Reds beat Chelsea to the centre-back, securing his services in a £60m deal.
However, the 20-year-old will not line up for Liverpool until the summer of 2026, as he is spending the remainder of the current campaign with Rennes.

Both former Liverpool players made valid points, but what’s done is done and for the remainder of 2025/26, fans will need to watch Rennes if they want to see their summer signing in action over the coming months.
Here is how Reds supporters can view Jacquet in action for the Ligue 1 side in the next week.
How to watch Jeremy Jacquet’s Rennes vs Marseille
Rennes next take to the field at 8:10pm UK time on Tuesday, February 3, against Marseille.
The French Cup last-16 tie takes place at the Orange Velodrome and will be available to watch in the UK.
Fans will have to sign up to Dazn to watch the tie, but there is a chance that the defender does not play.
Rennes’ manager commented on Jacquet to Liverpool on Monday, and when doing so, was unsure if he’d be ready to play on Tuesday.
He said: “He will not be here for training today, we don’t know if he can play tomorrow but we’ll see depending on the situation.”

How to watch Lens vs Rennes
If Jacquet doesn’t feature in midweek, he will likely return on Saturday afternoon.
Rennes are in Ligue 1 action against second-placed Lens on February 7, at 4pm UK time.
They go into the weekend’s fixtures sixth in the French top flight and seven points adrift of the Champions League places.
The game is available for fans in the UK via One Football, in partnership with Ligue 1+.
