Brighton and Hove Albion playmaker Brajan Gruda has joined the Bundesliga side RB Leipzig on loan until the end of the season.
Fabian Hürzeler said: “Brajan wants regular football and we are not able to guarantee him that in the second half of the season so this loan represents a good move for all parties.
“This move gives him that opportunity, a chance to continue his development and we wish him well for the remainder of the season.”
Albion said: “Brajan joined Albion in summer 2024 from FSV Mainz, after a breakthrough season in the Bundesliga.
“He’s made 45 appearances, scoring four goals and contributing eight assists for Albion in all competitions.”
Brighton paid about £25 million for the Germany under-21 midfielder who is reported to be earning about £50,000 a week.
Gruda opened the scoring at Old Trafford last month as Brighton knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup in their third-round tie.
The win set up a Valentine’s Day trip to Anfield to face Liverpool in the fourth round.
Gruda’s first goal of the season was the 89th minute winner as the Seagulls beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Amex.
