Benjamin Arthur has joined Scottish Premiership club Celtic on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, subject to international clearance. The 20-year-old centre-back made his senior Brentford debut in September’s Carabao Cup victory over Aston Villa and will now continue his development with the Glasgow outfit.
Initially joining Brentford B from Peterborough United in the summer of 2023, the defender was a regular for the young Bees over the following two seasons.
At the end of a 2024/25 campaign that saw him named Under-21s Player of the Year, he was rewarded with a new long-term contract and a promotion to the first-team squad.
He followed his first senior appearance by starting another Carabao Cup tie in October as the west Londoners defeated Grimsby Town 5-0.
Arthur, an England Under-20s international, came off the bench in January’s 2-0 FA Cup defeat of Sheffield Wednesday and featured in two Premier League matchday squads in the first half of this term.
