Fulham have rejected an approach from Everton for midfielder Harry Wilson (28).

BBC Sport reported that the Toffees made contact last week about the 28-year-old, but Fulham were quick to turn down the enquiry and have no intention of selling him in the January transfer window.

Wilson is out of contract in the summer and could leave on a free transfer, but Fulham head coach Marco Silva has been clear that the Wales international will not be allowed to go this month. Silva has said there is “zero chance” of Wilson leaving before the window closes.

The midfielder has been a key player for Fulham since joining on an initial loan from Liverpool in 2021. He has gone on to make 173 appearances for the club, scoring 34 goals and providing 43 assists.

Wilson has been in strong form this season, scoring eight goals in 23 Premier League games, and remains an important part of Fulham’s push in the top half of the table.

Talks over a new contract are currently on hold. BBC Sport revealed earlier this month that negotiations have been paused because of transfer interest in the player.

It is also understood Wilson would like clarity over Silva’s future before committing to a new deal, with the Fulham manager also out of contract at the end of the season.
