Along the way, he defeated 1992 Olympic champion Jan-Ove Waldner with 4-1. His opponent was Wang Hao. Ryu Seung-min plays penhold style. Unlike players like Ma Lin and Wang Hao, Ryu never uses the backside of his blade. Ryu relies on his outstanding footwork, explosive forehand loops and drives to win points. His top ranking was world number 2 in September 2004.

Absolute legend. Seems though that he has the same syndrome as Wayne Rooney, the more hair, they got, the less crazy, they were. What a beast in 2004 though <3

A player who inspired me to learn table tennis. One of the favorite athletes ever. Much love and much respect
The reason why Seungmin Yoo is good is that regardless of whether he is good or bad, the game is powerful and fun, so it is fun to watch.
やっぱり日ペンのパワードライブの威力は凄まじいな。また柳承敏のようなロマンあるペンドラ出てこないかな…
The most strongest foot work was Ryu Seung Min 🇰🇷🏓🇭🇺!
Best footwork he may have, but he has losing records, some very embarrassing ones, against many opponents in the video. In the video, he looked vastly superior to Wang Hao, in reality, he only beat Wang once, but lost like over 20 times. Among penholders, he may not be even in the top five. Modern table tennis, one is defined not by his strength, but the bottleneck he possesses, which Ryu has a few.
Regardless, Ryu was a terrific player, fascinating to watch. The way the game trends, we'll never see someone like him again.
日直最後王者
Man, that's incredible, there needs to be more studying done on how to promote different grip styles and playing styles through rule changes. Shake hand offensive is just far too dominant in the current ruleset. All these styles are still viable in amateur play but aren't as popular only because less pros use them.
Great penhold player, but I say Wang Hao still greatest ever, and with that REVERSE penhold style. Robert at 67.
i watch his videos on tt tips since i started playing, and he was really a beast when he was younger, a real role model athlete

Mi penholder favorito de la vida..
ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНЫЙ!!!
unbelievable footwork and 3rd ball attack .. perhaps the best from a PH, a last and dying breed.
4:46 show this to someone who say TT isnt a real sport. It looks so simple because the high angle shots takes away the perspection of distance and speed, but from this angle it looks absolutely insane!
The greatest fullhand!!!
Forehand power……….wow
RSM is at a level with XuXin
