Amad was one of the biggest success stories under Ruben Amorim, but he has been just as good if not better under Carrick.
While he does still have his defensive duties, playing Amad higher up the pitch has unlocked a new level of attacking threat.

That is more than every other Fulham player combined. Every chance Amad got, he charged at Robinson and often got the better of him.
Amad completed three dribbles and carried the ball for a total of 225 metres, with six progressive carries in the match.

While Amorim’s training sessions were meticulous and detail-driven to work on his formation, Carrick has taken a very different approach.
Noise from Carrington suggests Carrick’s training sessions are intense, but shorter and more focused on individual attributes compared to Amorim.
Players have reacted well to Carrick’s arrival, and there has been an immediate impact, especially in United’s attacking play.
