Head coach Sean Dyche has named his Nottingham Forest team to take on Crystal Palace in this afternoon’s crucial Premier League clash.

A win today would significantly boost the Reds’ survival hopes. Triumph over the Eagles on the banks of the Trent and Dyche’s side would move eight points clear of the bottom three.

A positive result for Forest at the City Ground would also drag Palace into the relegation scrap. They are without a win in 11 in all competitions and are just three points above the Reds ahead of kick-off.

Forest go into the game on the back of their 4-0 thumping of Ferencvaros in the Europa League. Igor Jesus bagged a brace on Thursday night, while James McAtee also found the back of the net to set up a two-legged play-off with Fenerbahce.

League results have also been positive of late. Last weekend’s 2-0 victory away to Brentford made it seven points from three games for the Reds.

New signing Lorenzo Lucca was not eligible to play against the Bees or in Europe. Today’s match represents the first time the Italian striker has been available to feature.

He is on the bench against the Eagles and will hope to get on to make his debut. Dyche has made five changes to his starting XI from midweek, with Ola Aina, Murillo, Elliot Anderson, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Morgan Gibbs-White coming in for Zach Abbott, Morato, Ryan Yates, Dan Ndoye and James McAtee.

Ahead of the game, Forest completed the signing of Stefan Ortega from Manchester City. The goalkeeper did not sign in time to be involved against Palace.
