There are some Brazilians you enjoy watching and can tell grew up playing football in the favelas; it’s innate within them once the ball is at their feet. Jesus is one of those players.

  2. Wish more replays posted were like this. I swear in r/soccer everyone wants to be the first that they post absolute disastrous replays.

  3. At 58 seconds.

AirPod Albert: “we need to start Jesus next game”

    Arteta: “really…why?”

That turn was absolutely criminal. Sent the defender to the shops. 🌭 So happy to see him smiling again!

This is what we’ve been missing — just a few simple line‑breaking passes. Not that predictable side‑to‑side yoyo routine until it finally reaches Saka or Trossard on the edge of a packed box, with no space left to do anything

  6. Lol I was so sure when Odegaard got the ball that he will turn another 360 and pass it back to Rice, good one

  7. Only tangientally related but Rice was sensational today. In a scrappy ugly game he looked both dominant and controlled/poised

Well well Odegaard another assist from LCM. He sees the angles better on that side

  9. Throw-ins aside from taking forever, were fantastic today. Created a lot. New coach is doing work already

  10. ngl I wasn’t paying much attention and when Calafiori got the ball I was wondering who the hell it was because he doesn’t look like a left back at all (in the best way)

I really enjoy when we play to feet vertically. Teams are very well drilled against us switching play to get wide and flat and as a result their momentum is carrying them away from the middle, if you play to feet and turn you will have moments to move the ball along into more dangerous positions.

I think Jesus is unique in his ability to make a yard from a standstill for us, but even just making those wide midfielders worry about chasing out wide too quickly will help us find more space and be less predictable

Ngl, one of the best finishes I’ve ever seen him do, especially considering how the CB was manhandling him.
