I know our model is about having first-team ready young players and we already have a number of options in similar positions to him, but I cannot help but think we would be selling George prematurely.
He is on a perfectly normal trajectory for a young player, his profile as 6’1″ versatile forward is very useful, he is an England U21 international at 19-years-old, already scoring goals at senior level in the few chances he has had. Any normal club would prioritise his development, include him in matchday squads more often (only been on the bench in the league once since October) and send him on loan.

There’s a good player in there. Crazy that we dropped £50mil on Gittens when Georgie has outperformed him this year, and is younger 😤

There’s a good player in there but I’m not sure he can reach that level with consecutive loans. Selling him is the right choice I think.

Anytime Tyrique George comes up I feel obligated to remind everyone that his goal vs Fulham is maybe the most important goal we scored all of last season.
He was subbed on as striker for Jackson (who was useless), the whole team was devoid of all ideas, we were down to Fulham with CL qualification on the line. And within two minutes he scored a goal COMPLETELY on his own FROM NOTHING. He swung the momentum by himself and we went on to win the game and turn around our form and finish the season strong. Without him, I don’t think it happens.
It is exceedingly rare for a young player to perform under such pressure. That alone is a clear indicator of his potential

I’d love to see what Gasperini would do for him
