Great to see them use instant replay. You never want it in the midst of the fight for momentum and possible recovery sake, but it definitely clears up the potential for a bad call. Btw, am I the only one who is annoyed by the marketing/promotion for the Bivol vs Yarde fight with the WRONG DATE?! It reads Oct 28th as opposed to Jan 28th!!! Who missed that on every post on YouTube?

The ref was on the pay role. He was trying to steal the fight. There was no headbutt at all. It was clearly a flush right hand.

Benny Estevys the referee should be suspended for 6 months.He is a straight up liar and incompetent.He said the cut was from a clash of heads.First off when there's a clash of heads the person who got head butted usually complains to the ref.The ref usually accesses the damage and calls in the ring doctor to make a determination on the injury.The ref also reprimand the person who caused the head butt, either with a warning or deducting a point.Thanks to the ESPN crew and the commission in place going against what they normally do ( no replay) and doing the right thing so that Rice could get his well deserved victory.If I was Rice I would petition for Estevys to be suspended and NEVER ref any of his fights.

I’m watching the replay in slow motion on tv and the ref was looking right at the punch. I’m watching the ref ask if they do replay in NYS and someone is saying they don’t but the Oneida nation guy said wait a minute, this ain’t NYS. That was so cool. And that punch was a monster. This is a sovereign nation we’re sitting on here he said.
What is so chaotic? The guy got cut and the fight had to be stopped and they awarded the victory to the guy who could still fight??
