Crystal Palace face yet another deal going south as Juventus look to hijack their already-agreed move.
The south Londoners have already signed Brennan Johnson in a club-record £35 million deal from Tottenham, but the departure of former captain Marc Guehi and Jean Phillippe-Mateta’s exit push means the Eagles aren’t done there.

Mateta is believed to be fielding late interest from both Nottingham Forest and AC Milan, with the latter looking to hijack Sean Dyche’s side after multiple rejected bids for the Frenchman.
The 28-year-old is actively pushing to leave Selhurst Park this month, and if he does depart, then Palace quite simply need a proven replacement for one of the Premier League‘s most prolific scorers since Glasner took charge.
This is where Jorgen Strand Larsen came in, and it was believed that Palace agreed a new record £50 million move for the Norwegian after beating Leeds United in the race for his signature.

Crystal Palace agree deal to sign “Bruno Fernandes-esque” Eze replacement
The incredible attacker could bring some Eze-esque flair back to Crystal Palace.
However, after an unexpected twist, some sources are reporting that the deal is completely off after Palace intermediaries threatened to walk away from negotiations over the 25-year-old.
Let’s see what the next few days brings there, with Strand Larsen, for the second window in a row, making all the headlines after his move to Newcastle didn’t materialise last summer.
One player who also looked set to join Glasner’s side was Aston Villa winger Evan Guessand, just months after the player sealed a multi-million pound Midlands switch from Nice.

Guessand reportedly agreed a four-year contract with Palace on the condition his loan move becomes permanent for £28 million, and apparently travelled to London yesterday to finalise the transfer.
However, in a surprise twist this morning, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna reports that Serie A giants Juventus are now planning a surprise late hijack.
Juventus ‘pushing’ for Guessand and ready to match Crystal Palace bid
Taking to X, Aouna reports that Juve are also ready to offer a loan with an option to buy the Ivory Coast international, and they’re ‘pushing’ behind-the-scenes.
Amid the Strand Larsen drama, missing out on Guessand to Juve would represent a major blow to Glasner after the deal looked all but done.
Everything is happening at Selhurst in the final days of January, with Palace seemingly at the centre of this window’s most significant twists and turns.

The 24-year-old, who bagged 21 goals and 15 assists in over a century of appearances for Nice, could now return to the continent as opposed to completing his move to the English capital.
Now, Palace face a tense wait for Guessand’s final decision.
