The deal will see Kinetic Games become the club’s official video game studio, marking the company’s first-ever sports marketing partnership.

Kinetic Games is a studio that was founded and is led by lifelong Saints supporter Dan Knight, and is headquartered in the city.

It gained international recognition for its flagship title, Phasmophobia, a psychological horror game which surpassed 25 million units sold in 2025.

The partnership brings together two organisations with a shared focus on supporting local talent, creativity and community initiatives.

Kinetic Games has expanded its operations with the launch of Kinetic Publishing, a new label aimed at supporting independent developers.

Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games, said: “I’ve been a lifelong fan of Saints, so being able to partner with the club I’ve followed for years is surreal.

“It’s also a reflection of how far we’ve come as a studio. Supporting a football club like this was never something we imagined would be possible.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our players and community for helping Phasmophobia reach the heights it has today.”

As part of the agreement, Kinetic Games will work with the club on a series of Saints-led community and fan initiatives throughout the season.

The studio also plans to continue expanding its involvement with local charities and foundations.

Kinetic Games has confirmed plans to offer internships to aspiring developers as part of efforts to strengthen the local development scene.

On the new sponsorship, Greg Baker, chief revenue officer for Saints, added: “We’re pleased to partner with Kinetic Games.

“It’s a homegrown studio making a global impact that embodies the same passion and innovation we champion at Southampton Football Club.

“This collaboration underlines our belief in local talent, and we look forward to growing the partnership together.”
