When Unai took charge after Steven, I looked at their squad and told my boys theyre a top4 contender. That's how good their team is. But they all laughed at me. Funny how some of their teams havent finished above villa in the last 2 seasons 😂😂😂

It's pretty sustainable with the quality of long shot takers we've got at the club we work the space when teams sit back (it's also a set piece routine tactic by Nanny Mcphee aswell)which is something we needed as an option as last season that was our kryptonite if they suddenly come out then we work the space to get into the box like we did well last season and the odd times they actually do it this season.
Then there's obviously the cross to back post flick strategy aswell like Malen's fast sub goal against Brighton and both goals against Arsenal as a option for us to do every so often with that space.
xG is pretty overrated UTV
It's not healthy for any team to rely so much on one or two players to change their fate..
Have a look at last seasons ‘form’ and the ‘form’ since Unai took over. This isn’t some mad come back, this the same consistency we’ve shown for most of Emery’s time at Villa.
In retrospect, the first 5 games were not bad results. Out of all of those, we should've maybe beaten Brentford. Sunderland have been excellent this season, a draw to Newcastle on opening day not bad and a draw against Everton Away also not bad. Palace always beat us so that was expected.
