Crystal Palace wing-back Danny Imray is set to join West Bromwich Albion on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old spent the first half of the campaign at Blackpool, making 13 League One appearances, scoring twice and providing two assists.

He was recalled by Palace in mid-January as the deadline to curtail his loan approached.

Imray featured in Oliver Glasner’s matchday squads for defeats to Sunderland and Chelsea, with Palace short of defensive options, but Daniel Muñoz’s return from injury has allowed the club to sanction another loan move.

Having impressed at Blackpool — coupled with a stunning stint at League Two side Bromley last season — Imray attracted interest from several Championship clubs.

West Brom’s five-at-the-back system is a pull factor for Imray, ensuring he continues to develop in his natural position.

Imray is expected to join West Brom as they attempt to pull clear of the Championship relegation zone, subject to a medical.
