Declan Rice has better all around ability but doesn’t make him a better player than Hargreaves.
Declan Rice is just Jordan Henderson with Arsenal fans ridiculous propaganda. He’s not a good goal scorer, not a great passer and not a good creator. His ‘traits’ are just leadership, pressing and covering multiple positions i.e Jordan Henderson except Henderson did it better anyway. Only difference between them is Rice wears durags, raps and claims to eat jollof rice so of course all the London podcasters worship him.
Arsenal fans even managed to gas him up so much like they do for all their players to the point even rival fans and pundits pander to them talking about ‘ballon d’or’ and ‘best midfielder in the league’ is a joke. Imagine Jordan Henderson got this level of PR, if he played for Arsenal they would have Hendo in Zidane convos.

The disrespect towards Hargreves is insane. Okay fine he was injured for most of his career. But when he was fit? Man Utd could have achieved so much more if he was fit because he was the missing link in that midfield. He was incredible for Utd when he was fit. The nostalgia bias is always OP
Hargreaves was never considered the best player in any of the teams he’s played for. Rice was West Ham’s best player by a mile and is by far arsenals best players and arguably the best in his position in the league right now. Hargreaves was never in those conversations even in Bundesliga.
