this is what happens when opposition players can go into a game knowing that refs are incompetent/corrupt and will allow nasty challenges to be brushed off as clumsy/accidental

Dougie would be shrewd addition on loan, and knows the system/ demands of Unai, but it does feel risky to rely on Onana and Barkley remaining fit for the next 6 to 8 weeks given their respective track records. Another midfield option – in addition to Luiz – would be welcomed but feels unlikely.
3 critical team members lost – 1 free kick awarded between the 3. Basically if the league all got together and decided Villa needed to be stopped at all costs, I'm not sure how it would look any different to this? (this includes Spurs injuring Kamara, and then buying his replacement!!)
Joke, it’s unsustainable to lose a player every game for weeks. It’s hard to believe what’s happening.
We should renegotiate with Liverpool and make the elliot deal a straight loan and start playing him. We need all the players we can get and would genuinely be like a new signing as he hasn't played.

Our players, although having played a lot of games are being targeted. The lack of protection from the ref just confirms this. The FA don't want us where we are. So take out as many of our players.

Dougie loves the Villa and never wanted to leave. He never fits into that Forest side. Emery will get him back up to speed, makes sense to me

This scenario underscores why you should NOT construct a contract with a clause that says "obligation to buy" unless it includes a condition that the parent club can retain the asset even after a minimum number of matches have been played with loan club, if parent club can provide evidence of an "injury crisis" such as ours. Not bringing back Barrenechea is crazy. Especially with a chance to pair him with a fellow Argentine who's playing quite well in Buendia.

We have been jinxed by the so-called experts and pundits who keep saying that Villa will struggle with some injuries and we are the most fouled team in the Premier league and by some distance yet the corrupt referees/officials dont protect us so teams keep fouling us, the cant compete against us unless they are fouling our players…. Kamara, Teilemans and Mcginn are 3 of our most important players and the reason why we jad the best midfield in the league…. I can picture all the haters and doubters rubbing their hands together with glee getting ready to say i told you Villa would drop off…
Absolute nightmare news! Trying to stay positive and good thing is february fixtures looks good and no european interutiptions. Come march only three PL games abeit key games against Chelsea and United followed up by a home game vs Hammers on March 20th. Then we have three weeks period without playing PL, presumeably FA Cup and International break before we play again in the prem on April 11th. Hopefully Youri and SJM will be back for that game and ready for the last seven PL games and Europe combined
Dougie was one of the main reasons we got Champions league in 23/24. Also Baileys best season was when Dougie ran the midfield. One to watch there with him back too.
He was out for 55 days between September and November this season already. It was during this period that we started our amazing run. Granted, BM and SJM were still available but we still managed to perform to a high standard. UTV
