An interesting write up regarding Lammens, which highlights that, though his shotstopping is statistically nothing special in the PL, his control of his penalty area and calmness in general are providing a solid foundation for United to build on.
On a side note, it was highlighted when he was signed that his xG prevented stats were insane but almost all keepers in the belgian league were statistically high compared to other leagues. This suggested that there may be something a bit unusual about how the belgian data is calculated and I think this is being shown out. This is not to say that I don’t think he is not positioned really well to improve, but something to be aware of.

Finally a goalkeeper that isn’t eccentric, can catch a ball, and can kick the ball far. Bravo.

Got a friend that’s a Bristol City fan, and said Vitek is probably their POTS so far.
Looks like we’re going from having two awful keepers, to two solid options!
