For Varane, football in England — and Manchester in particular — hit differently.
The passion. The noise. The feeling of living football every single day.
“At Manchester United, you truly feel it. Now that time has passed, I have no regrets about joining the club. It was an incredible experience.”
He also explained why he left Real Madrid.
“After we won the Champions League in 2018, we barely celebrated. It felt normal.
Then I won the World Cup that same summer. I needed new challenges.”
