The worst fears about Jordan Morris’ injury Saturday were confirmed by Swansea City manager Steve Cooper, who said the Seattle Sounders and US men’s national team forward suffered ligament damage to his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the Championship season.

“He’s had a bad injury unfortunately for him. It’s significant ligament damage, ACL. Everything we hoped it wasn’t, unfortunately it is,” Cooper said on Monday. “It’s the end of his season for us and a long road back to recovery, it’s very cruel.”

  1. Morris is going to miss all of qualifying, as the last games are played in March. People say we have depth, but the US is one injury away from dipping into players like Arriola or Lewis who are not cut out for the national team. Until the US has 30+ players across all top 5 leagues, they can't relax about injuries.

  2. I watched his injury on SwansTV live and having had that same thing happen myself, I too was hurt and saddened. The USA hasn't qualified yet and they are talking about World Cup 2022. After 2018, I'm not hedging my bets

  3. Of course this is the only relevancy that extra time would give to talk about what Seattle has done screw these analysts and the horse the bigoted horse that they all wrote in on

  4. Obviously wouldnt wish this on anyone but its ashame it was him and not someone else. He and Weah are fighting for the starting wing spot. We dont have that much depth like people act, our depth is mls caliber

  5. Lets be real even healthy Jordan Morris never had a shot at the World Cup 2022. He would have a hard time making the WCQ team. Too many wingers and add Hoppe, Konrad to the mix of guys that are just ahead of him. Morris would have been great on the recent Gold Cup team. That's what he is a C team right now and nothing wrong with that. We need more wingers like him in the MLS which is a poor crop
