Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jarrad Branthwaite both went on at half-time in their Monday night 1-1 draw at home to Leeds.

They helped the Toffees come back from a 1-0 deficit which could easily have been greater.

Everton boss David Moyes said: “Getting those boys back, we needed them in the second half. None of them were ready to start, but we would have started them.

“We now have to try to get them to top fitness.

“Jarrad has not played fully for the best part of seven to eight months, so we need to give him a bit more room.

“They made a big difference those boys when they came on.”

Centre-back Branthwaite and midfielder Dewsbury-Hall have both been ruled out by hamstring issues in recent weeks.

Jack Grealish will miss the game at the Amex due to a broken foot.

Everton defender Michael Keane has now served the three-match ban imposed for his red card after pulling the hair of Wolves’ Tolu Arokodare.

The draw with Leeds moves Everton three points and two places ahead of Albion, who have a beter goal difference.

Thierno Barry recued Everton’s point with their fourth goal in five Premier League games.

Barry, who scored just once in his opening 18 league games, nicked the ball past Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow from close range.

Moyes said: “I’m really pleased for Thierno. There are a lot of strikers in the Premier League who cost a lot of money and it’s not easy for them either.”
