“I want you to be Michael Jordan. But you have to defend.”

Luis Enrique was the only manager brave enough to tell Kylian Mbappé the truth. He tried to turn him from a superstar into a leader. Mbappé didn’t listen.

Now, looking at Real Madrid’s tactical struggles, it is clear that Enrique was right all along.

This video analyses the toxic pattern that has followed Mbappé from Monaco to PSG, and now to Madrid. We break down how he systematically undermined managers like Tuchel and Pochettino, and why Luis Enrique was the only one who exposed the flaw in Mbappé’s game that nobody talks about.

👑 The Anatomy of an Ego:
• The “Michael Jordan” Speech: What Enrique really asked of him
• The Pattern: How Mbappé destroyed the authority of Tuchel and Pochettino
• The Real Madrid Issue: Why the same tactical problems are happening again
• The Verdict: Enrique won a sextuple without him. Does that prove the “superstar” era is over?

Mbappé wanted to be bigger than the club. Luis Enrique showed us why that never works.

  1. Luis Enrique’s football may be structurally sound, but it is difficult to sustain at the highest level without individual stars or reliable goal-scoring machines, especially from a branding and viewership perspective.
Modern football has increasingly shifted toward control, athleticism, and collective systems. While this has improved efficiency and reduced chaos, it has also, in many cases, stripped the game of spontaneity and flair. Several former players and pundits have openly criticized how over-coached and risk-averse elite football has become.
In an era where attention spans are shorter and competition for entertainment is fierce, football cannot rely solely on sterile dominance or endless sideways circulation. Star players such as explosive wingers, creative No.10s, and clinical poachers are not luxuries. They are essential to the sport’s cultural and commercial appeal.
Managers, understandably, focus on results and career survival. Systems reduce risk and protect jobs. But football as a spectacle does not thrive on safety alone. A physically intense, high-pressing game without glamour, individuality, or decisive attackers risks alienating casual fans and diminishing the emotional connection that made the sport global in the first place.
Tactical discipline is necessary, but without flair, goals, and heroes, football loses its soul.

  2. Mbappe has showed maturity and leadership when he defended Vinicius Jr, he has grown up so stop judging him for his past mistakes,he didn't know better the way he does today!please 😮

  3. I always love watching Mbappe and felt bad as a Real Madrid fans for not signing him sooner, but after signing him i began to realise it is one of the worst signing ever, plus not to mention his ego.. What Real Madrid really need is a Striker, and Mbappe is a Winger and he's not the one even though he's one of the best right now..

  4. Has there ever been another player who had that much power? If so, who was he and what happened in that situation?

Thank you for the video! It's such a delicious irony that a player can be so good while self sabotaging himself. You forgot that "with great power comes great responsibility." 😂
