After arriving at the BernabĂ©u with huge expectations, Trent’s spell in Spain hasn’t gone to plan — injuries, limited minutes, and questions over his defensive suitability in La Liga have all played a role. Now, reports claim Arbeloa has made it clear that the England international is not part of Madrid’s long-term plans.

  1. Bear in mind! This report has been circulating around the "media" : I think its completely false but if Trent doesn't stay fit this season I think he wont stay around for long

  2. Why don't you ask Jude??? he is the one whom convinced Trent to come to Madrid, for to replace Arda Guler!!! I have been watching Trent in Liverpool, because I am also Fan of the RED'S. Trent never being a full defensive right back, he is Not fast enough for the defence, yes he has a good passing abilitys but Not good enough to replace the Arda, you lot do not understand the Jude's plans for Arda, just watch the Madrid games good and maybe you lot understand.!!!

  3. Trent was never a Madrid player or fan 🙁 I have always believed he made a mistake going there. I might be wrong but that’s how I think. God Bless you mate đŸŽ‰â€

  4. Dave, if you get [as you might} Haaland next season then Trent will be a hack. He's the best at putting the ball on 6 pence in the box in football. He's shit at defending, though. We used to score against the Scousers easily when he was playing full back.

  5. My analysis of the team defensive line

Carvajal and Alaba are past their peak and are no longer able to perform at this level

MilitĂŁo is the best in the world
With proper minutes management he can play around forty matches per season
He has been a victim of Alaba and RĂŒdiger injuries
which forced him to play several consecutive matches without adequate rest

RĂŒdiger is one of the top five centre backs in the world
In turn he has been a victim of the absences of MilitĂŁo and Alaba
but with good load management he can also play close to forty matches per season

Huijsen is young and I do not like his style

Asensio is energetic but his quality is below average

Fran GarcĂa is not at Real Madrid level
Carreras is a very good full back

Mendy suffers from chronic injury issues

Trent has simply been unlucky with injuries

That in essence is the real problem in this team defensively

  6. The better question is who’s going to want him if he doesn’t stay fit ? He’s got a long contract on a lot of money. Who’s taking him?
