  1. It’s actually not that bad that De Jong got suspended right now… honestly, if you look at it objectively, it’s probably the best outcome for the team.
    ​If he had played the final matchday and picked up a yellow there, he would’ve missed the first leg of the next round (whether it’s the Playoffs or Round of 16) since cards don’t get wiped after the league phase. By serving the ban now, he goes into the knockouts with a "clean slate," which is exactly when you can’t afford to be missing a starter.
