Everton produced yet another superb away performance to record a 1-0 away victory over Aston Villa โ€“ ending their hosts’ 11-game winning run on home soil.

Thierno Barry notched the all-important goal just before the hour, cooly clipping the ball over Emi Martinez from close range after the Villa goalkeeper failed to hold on to Dwight McNeil’s initial shot.

The clean sheet was the Blues’ third consecutive shut-out on the road โ€“ the first time they have managed that feat since May 2021 โ€“ and a fifth in their past six Premier League away games.

  4. Hi Coach David Moyes, here's the work and game plan for the players:
    1) Work on attacking and defensive duels (individual and team).
    2) Play an 11v11 match to analyze and choose the starting eleven for the game. 3) Work on corners, free kicks, and long-range shots. For set pieces, aim for the far post with all players moving to the far post, or conversely, aim for the near post with all players moving to the near post.
    4) Work on quick pressing on the opposing ball carrier, man-marking each opponent, and quick counter-attacks.
    5) Work on short and long passes, crosses, shots, quick dribbling, ball control, quick and agile dribbling, heading, ball protection, player positioning, and attacking and defensive runs.
    6) Develop the players' physical attributes: Speed, Agility, Strength, Stamina, Intelligence, Technique, Balance, Reflexes, Resistance, and Precision.
    7) Work on attacking play with forwards, full-backs, and midfielders attacking the space in front of the opponent's defense, either on the flanks or between two opposing players, using long or short passes.
    8) Develop the players' collective abilities: – Switching play with long passes over the top of the opponent to draw them to one side and create space on the other, allowing for quick attacks on space and depth. – Diagonal play with long passes over the opposing defense or towards open flanks to quickly attack space and depth. – Playing with their back to goal using one or two touches, creating space for a teammate or beating a defender with a deft touch.
    9) Tactics with the ball: 3-4-3 defensive formation (attacks in the opponent's half) and 1-2-4-3 counter-attack. Off-the-ball movement: 4-4-2 pressing and 5-4-1 defensive formations.
    10) Players must remain focused and determined for 90 minutes or more to win the match; this is the sole objective.

  5. Look at Grealish's face!!! He wants to come back. And tbh… Villa could use him. Thanks Everton for uploading the extended highlights. All the best for the rest of the season. UTV
