Everton produced yet another superb away performance to record a 1-0 away victory over Aston Villa – ending their hosts’ 11-game winning run on home soil.

Thierno Barry notched the all-important goal just before the hour, cooly clipping the ball over Emi Martinez from close range after the Villa goalkeeper failed to hold on to Dwight McNeil’s initial shot.

The clean sheet was the Blues’ third consecutive shut-out on the road – the first time they have managed that feat since May 2021 – and a fifth in their past six Premier League away games.

  1. We played horrible for the first 15 mins. Things changed when McGinn was sub.
Aston Villa performance dropped as the game progressed. Their performance in the last 15 mins was as bad as us in the first 15 mins. 😂

Barry is a striker who is clinical when you give him space. Problem is he seldom is able to fight for space, he needs to go into space and get a pass into that space.

  2.
