After a great first season at United, I think many fans, and later a certain Manager, underestimated the profound effect that horrendous leg break had on Luke's mental health. As a defender, to overcome the fear of ever going in hard again on tackles. The public criticism he took for his weight and fitness levels seemed at times, bordering on bullying. I'm so glad he dug deep, outstayed Mourinho and went on to prove all his critics wrong. Even more so, I'm grateful he remained faithful to United. Finally, he's with a Manager who is bringing out the very best of this extremely talented young player.
