I'm surprised that you didn't understand Barca's point on Ter Stegen's deal. He has come back from a long injury. No club will sign him permanently until he proves that he is capable of playing at the highest level and is still a top goalkeeper. Barcelona can't give him any playing time, so they allowed him to go somewhere else with guaranteed playing time, so they can sell him in the summer.

We are bad at selling because of our current financial situation. Once it gets fixed our selling will improve. We really don't have any leverage when we sell because we are desperate to sell.
