Manchester United are on the verge of confirming Michael Carrick as their interim manager today, and the big question remains: has the club finally pulled the trigger on a bid for Ruben Neves? While the Portuguese maestro is officially on the shortlist with a tempting £20 million price tag, we explore whether INEOS has submitted a formal offer to Al-Hilal or if they are waiting for Carrick to give the final green light. With the squad returning to training tomorrow ahead of the Manchester Derby, the need for midfield reinforcements is urgent, and Neves’ expiring contract makes him the most “viable” January target to provide the control United have lacked all season.

But is Ruben Neves actually the right fit?? At 28, he brings a level of Premier League pedigree and technical security that could finally unlock the best in Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo? We take a deep dive into the tactical side of this move—analyzing if Neves has kept his edge in Saudi Arabia and whether his elite passing range makes him the “no-brainer” signing fans have been begging for since the Wolves days.

  1. Yaaayyy Carrick! I am sure this will revolutionize the club! Ps loved Carrick as a player but my unhappiness has nothing to do with him. Just fed up of this board and ownership

  2. Mark, I love you and I detest these owners but please stop banging on about Southgate. We have enough problems as it is, let’s not look for more problems. If Southgate comes in, then I’ll be Southgate Out from day 1 but let’s cross that bridge when we come to it.

  3. So, holland gets fired after 4 months at a club no ones heard of, then suddenly gets a job at man u? Standing next to the interim coach???…”Luke, it’s a trap!”

  4. Carrick is just temporary. His replacement is already in planning stage/salary agreements/player purchase strategy for next season. This guy has serious football pedigree, inc Prem. It will be a real surprise to MU fans. He's also coming with his own choice of Set-piece and Training/fitness coaches. It's a revolutionary move.

  5. Hi mark love the show
Watching since the start never comment usually just watch and like your videos on YouTube
I think should have gave it to McKenna was the coach under Ollie

  6. Clubs finished – either immense scale protests at every match, maybe even at Carrington, or, we just roll over, let them further destroy the club and we embrace the next chapter which will be relegation or super league

  7. You should know already that Carrick won't do nothing the rest of the season , board just needs again someone to trow under the buss… They have waisted another season, they waisted precious time and years of a few players that are ok in the team giving them hopes year after year that United will achieve management stability and European football stability…
They brought the fans in the position that…i don't iven bother to watch what United is doing or ceck up scores…..
At this point we don't care anymore what's gonna happen the rest of the season and who's gonna buy in the summer…we want a RESET of the club and that is Glazers and Ineos to let this club and go …

  8. Major mistake from Hierarchy,Carrick dose not even show passion on touchline he dose absolute nothing,Ole would have lifted the entire team and they fully respect ole Goldbridge just shocks me when he says thankfully not Ole,I mean you may aswell put Graham bluddy Potter as manager wtf

  9. Carrick dose not put any fear into those Players he is quiet as a mouse who the f*** believes Carrick will raise his voice when Players screw up,its absolutely baffling as why the hierarchy choses Carrick over Ole who the players enjoy working with.

  10. Whoever believes Carrick is better then Ole,is going to regret that stupid decision,Carrick doesn't raise his quiet voice (ffs)im frustrated cause its so obvious Ole brings more to united than Carrick who was Oles assistant, which did absolutely nothing to help Oles problems

  11. Sorry,But Carrick as we have already seen is so boring compared to assassin Ole,Carrick barely gets up from his seat he doesn't have any anger in dressing room if the team are not playing good, how can players feel anything when their manager is Mr quiet and boring

  12. Goldbridge is something else seriously,he preferred Carrick over Ole,But you may aswel appoint bluddy Southgate,Carrick is as quiet as a mouse he hasn't got the hairdryer Ole has he wont do nothing for those players, the hierarchy should av just stayed with fletcher as its same thing even fletcher has more passion than Carrick, who made such a poor sickening decision,Ole is who the players step up

  13. If no change in owners u guys will be lost forever forget stadium signings y'all will just be memories and I swear as this isn't recoverable no matter what and imagine players why would they play cause it's all rotten
I see united and think of a rotten tomato , all shiny from outside and inside infested by worms😢

  14. I prefer Carrick than the other two of Ole and Fletcher. Hope the board SACK themselves too. 😜😜😜👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏 inios worse than the glazers. From purgatory directly to HELL. 👹👹👹

  15. Ste, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." – Margaret Mead. It's all we can do as a fanbase.

  16. Gareth Southgate is definitely Manchester United's next manager. Southgate is not a Manchester manger. Another disaster waiting to happen. only yes men will do.
