  1. Dermot shouldn't be providing his opinion as its obvious his opinions are almost never objective and biased towards defending referees actions. His insight would be more meaningful if he based his opinions based on the law of the game, which I presume is why they involve him in the discussion to provide his specialist knowledge in the matter. Instead he just looks for reasons to avoid blaming refs for their poor decisions.

  2. This is the problem. There needs to be rules for players being punished for grossly unsporting actions like this. This wasn't cleanly within the lines drawn out by these useless reffing entities, so this is allowed… That's it basically. It's not good enough.

  3. In this much heat and tension they didnt notice he is injured. He apologized after. I dont see a problem. People do worse stuff just remember Pepe, Otamendi, Mascherano, Ramos. Butchers and obusers

  4. If Martinelli was another teams player, this will be never discussed at all. Roy keane is not happy with it?? Hahahaha, a player if he was playing now would have received red in every single match. Everybody knows what happened Martinellis behaviour was over the edge , I admit that but these clowns were ok when halland throw ball to gabriels head, mcguin kicked the ball to saliba, mosquera choked Havertz. Now stop bs and move on

  5. It’s a bunch of hypocrites I see commenting on this which is exergerated because it’s an arsenal player committing the act. If this was the other way round it would be dead. Haalan throw the ball in the back of Gabi head ppl laughed and say it’s just fun. For years this said media portrayed arsenal as soft and everyone ran with the narrative causing career ending injuries to numerous arsenal players Ramsay Eduardo Diaby among them
