Ruben Amorim has wasted hardly any time in leaving Manchester and jetting back to Portugal, five days after his Man United sacking.
The 40-year-old was filmed by CNN Portugal after he touched down in his homeland on Saturday evening.
He ignored the questions posed to him by the reporter but grinned as he made his way to a car with two rucksacks.
Amorim’s young son was also with him and the former Man United boss followed in behind him before shutting the car door on drizzly night in Lisbon.
He arrived at Humberto Delgado Airport in the dark and when he exited the airport a camera crew were waiting.
The interviewer first asked: ‘Good evening, Manchester was a disappointment?

She receives no answer and follows up with: ‘When are you going back to work, do you have any job offers yet?
Again Amorim simply smiles and ignores her before a final query of: ‘Will we see you return to Portugal (for a job)?
Amorim has been seen on a couple of occasions since being sacked by Man United following his clash with sporting director Jason Wilcox.
He was pictured with wife Maria Joao Diogo, stepping out of their Cheshire mansion grinning broadly on Monday and looked as though the weight of the world had been lifted from his shoulders.
Amorim was due £12million in compensation if he had been sacked by United before November but it is unclear at present what his severance package amounts to.
The verdict to sack him followed a meeting between Amorim and Jason Wilcox, held after last Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against bottom-placed Wolves – a match in which Amorim reverted to his preferred system of three central defenders.
According to sources, Amorim was told that United’s squad, bolstered by £250million of summer recruitment, were good enough to earn trust and that they were capable of playing more attacking football.
However, it would appear that the message failed to hit home and, indeed was met with a furious response from the Portuguese boss.
Amorim refused to answer any questions, including whether he has any job offers
He was then dismissed after the 1-1 draw with Leeds and United are still yet to announce who will be their interim boss until the end of the season.
Darren Fletcher has taken the helm in a caretaker capacity and oversaw a 2-2 draw with Burnley in the Premier League.
He has an outside chance of taking the job on until the end of the season but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick are the main two candidates.
Solskjaer held face-to-face interviews with the Man United hierarchy on Saturday to make his case.
Carrick, 44, met with chief executive Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox in person on Thursday.
Despite speculation the 52-year-old United legend is the favourite, the club have been giving serious consideration to Carrick who was Solskjaer’s first-team coach when he was manager between 2018 and 2021, and stepped in as caretaker after he was sacked.

The notion of them working together again has now been dismissed.
It’s understood that Fletcher has also made a good impression since stepping up from Under-18s coach to take temporary charge.
Fletcher insisted on Friday that there have been no conversations over his long-term future at the club when asked if he has spoken to minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
He will be in charge for Man United’s FA Cup clash with Brighton on Sunday.
