I love how simple and direct this was. Cherki with the throughball, Semenyo takes it directly towards goal and slots it past the keeper. Beautiful

I don’t often like making the comparison but that pass from Cherki reminded me a lot of what KDB used to do for us. We’re so fortunate to have him. Not just the accuracy through the gap but the weight and speed he gave it was perfect. Semento didn’t have to alter his momentum to meet it at all. Plus, it was a 4G pitch. To pull that off when you’re used to far better pitch surfaces is impressive.
