First year scholar Saurap Sampang has been named amongst the substitutes as Arsenal U18s return to action today with a home game against Leicester City.
It represents a first competitive callup at that level for Sampang, who signed scholarship terms with the club in the summer.
The midfielder progressed all the way through the ranks at Hale End and has featured for the U17s this season. He has previously played for the U18s in friendlies.
Last campaign he was an unused substitute for the U21s against Fulham while he was still a schoolboy.
There is a start for midfielder Alex Marciniak today along with schoolboy attacker Kyran Thompson.
Louis Zecevic John makes his first league start of the season after injury.
